What is this?
Prerequisite
: Basic Jewelry Soldering or equivalent.
Description:
This class will teach how to make a castellated bezel from sterling silver and how to set the stone properly. Students must bring 2 cabochons to create bezels for. Average size cabs of 17 - 35 round or oval cabs are best to learn procedure. If you do not have any cabs you may purchase them from other members of the guild or from Rio Grande or other source on the internet. Please purchase your cabs early enough. Students are expected to have their own hard and soft solder, tweezers, pick and flux.
Possible snow date: March 1, 2023
Materials Fee
: $45 includes 2"x3" piece of 20 gauge dead soft sterling sheet silver, thick bezel wire for bezel and a bezel burnisher for your personal kit. If you own a burnisher already, subtract $5.
