About this event

Description:  Tab setting is a technique that allows you to set your cabochons and never touch a torch! Cold connections are a great way to design creative settings to hold stones. In this class, you’ll learn the intricate techniques of tab setting, a popular method for securely mounting cabochons in your custom designs. Students will work with sheets of metal, jewelers saws, and other basic hand tools to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

Students must bring their own cabochons. 17mm to 35mm cabochons work well.  Students can have any shape stone, If you do not have any cabochons, you may be able to purchase from other guild members or from companies such as Rio Grande on line.

Materials Fee$15 Includes:2"x3" copper sheet and jeweler saw blades.
